In Mathura, the second case of desecration of a dead body has come to light in a week on Friday due to a domestic and property dispute. High Court advocate Ashok Chaudhary died due to illness in Dwarikapuri area of the city Kotwali area. There was a dispute between the mother, three sisters and a brother over who would perform the last rites of the body.
The sisters and mother did not allow the brother to perform the last rites. No decision could be taken on the last rites for about 9 hours, so the police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Only after the post-mortem on Saturday will it be decided which party will perform the last rites.
Omkar Chaudhary, father of 64-year-old advocate Ashok Chaudhary, was an officer in the Customs Department. Omkar is survived by his wife Brahma Devi, three daughters Asha, Abha and Aruna. At the same time, there are two sons Ashok and Yogesh Chaudhary. Aruna’s husband is in IB, she lives with her family in Janakpuri, Aligarh.
Asha Choudhary lives in Dwarkapuri with her husband, while Abha leaves her in-laws’ house in Meerut and lives in Dwarkapuri with her mother and brother Ashok Choudhary. Ashok Chaudhary died at seven in the morning. On information, brother Yogesh Chaudhary alias Pappu reached Dwarkapuri.
